BetDSI Sportsbook Review. BetDSI, also known as Diamond Sportsbook International, is an online sportsbook based in San Jose, Costa Rica. Their book covers a wide variety of sporting events including NBA, NCAA Basketball, MLB, NASCAR, horse racing, NHL, NFL and NCAA football.

  • The rules at BETDSI conform very closely to those found at Las Vegas Sportsbook, and are used to protect both our company and you, the bettor. All customer betting accounts at BETDSI are private and confidential, and all calls are recorded on tape and held for disputes for a period of seven days. All clients must be 18 years of age.
  • Of course, BetDSI isn’t allowed to have a native app, as Apple and Google don’t allow them in the U.S. The mobile site is just fine, and if you are on a decent connection then you should be able to make your.
  • When you join BetDSI, you too can earn money betting on basketball the fun and easy way. For over 70 years, people around the world have looked to the NBA for the ultimate basketball watching experience and BetDSI has been there for the last 20, making it possible to earn money betting on sports.

Hey there! Welcome to my BetDSI review. I’m glad you landed here instead of on some other site.

Why? Because in keeping with the mission statement of LegitGamblingSites.com, I’m going to tell you the whole truth, the full truth, and nothing but the truth about BetDSI. You should always be suspicious of gambling site reviews which paint an overly rosy picture and which don’t look at the pros and cons of a given site objectively.

This site is focused primarily on sports betting, but it does offer casino games, too. I’ll take you all the way from the opening rounds through to the finishing bell, ducking, weaving, striking, and scoring BetDSI on our points system all the way through.

Will BetDSI raise its hands above its head as it makes our recommended gambling sites list? Or will it get knocked out before the finishing bell? That happens to some sites, you know. They do well in the beginning, then “POW!” I see something I don’t like and knock them out through the ropes and into the crowd while the ref counts them out.

Anyway, enough with the trash talk. Let’s get to the weigh-in. Let’s see what you’ve got, BetDSI!

Is BetDSI Legit?

Yes, BetDSI is legit. How do I know? Let me explain.

  • This betting site has been online for almost 20 years. You don’t last that long if you’re a scam operation
  • It’s owned by Bookmaker.eu, which is the single largest player in the US online sports betting market
  • BetDSI has an established history and track record. I visited several popular gambling forums, and while there were a few complaints as is the case with every online gambling site, I didn’t encounter anything majorly concerning

About BetDSI

I promised you I would size BetDSI up, so I dug deep and found the following information about the site and the crew running it.

OperatorBetDSI.eu
Year Established2000
Other Sites OwnedBookmaker.eu
License(s)N/A
Payouts Verified ByN/A

While I couldn’t find a verified gambling license, I’m super reassured by the fact that this site is associated with Bookmaker.eu, which is the largest US sports betting site by a country mile. It’s also good to know that BetDSI has a long operating history itself. It wouldn’t have lasted this long if it was a scam.

In terms of how it looks, BetDSI is nicely designed and sports a minimalist blue and white color scheme. I do think the navigation needs a little work, but it’s nothing major. It’s a pro site, and it’s easy to use on all devices.

Who Can and Can’t Play at BetDSI?

BetDSI accepts players from all jurisdictions. It states that it does not accept players from countries where gambling is outright illegal.

Yes, that means BetDSI accepts players from the United States – all 50.

The Good Stuff

There are a few things I like about BetDSI. Here are the highlights.

Complete Range of Casino Games

Whatever your favorite casino game is, you’ll likely find it at BetDSI. It doesn’t have the biggest selection of games you’ll ever come across, but for a relatively small selection, every game I can think of is there.

Betting limits range from just $1 up to $500, so it’s a casino which is suitable for everyone.

US Players Accepted

If you’re from the USA, you’re probably used to the fact that most online casinos and sports betting sites don’t accept you. This is nothing personal – it has to do with regulations. That’s all.

Mandarins bingo. BetDSI is US-friendly, though. You’ll be able to access both the casino and the sports betting services from all 50 states.

Entertaining Contests

If you’re a sports bettor, you’ll want to pay attention to the “Money Contests” and “Free Contests” tabs on the menu. These make betting more interesting by offering you extra prize money for going on streaks, picking the winners of certain competitions, etc.

These small things make the overall betting experience more entertaining, and it’s always nice to win some extra greenbacks, isn’t it?

The Bad Stuff

Every site has a few downsides. Here are the things I think BetDSI could improve.

Quirky Navigation

The navigation isn’t terrible or anything, but it does seem a little illogical in some places. There are two casinos and multiple sports betting tabs. It would have made more sense to put these under sub-tabs within two sections. Anyway, this might not bother you, and perhaps it’s just me being picky. Admittedly, I do have high standards when it comes to online gambling sites.

No Telephone Support

Sometimes it’s just easier to pick up the phone and iron things out, isn’t it? That’s not an option here, though. The live chat agents are fast to respond, but I do prefer to see telephone support.

Game Selection

You won’t find the biggest game selection you’ve ever come across here, but you will find two distinct casinos offering almost every casino game I can think of.

As you’ll see as I peel back the layers, one casino offers high-quality games, and the other should be avoided. I’ll show you exactly what I mean as I go on, and it will all make sense by the time you’re done reading this section.

In short, you’ll find plenty on offer here, but make sure you play in the right BetDSI casino, as there are two.

Software

I always look closely at the software providers powering the casino games at the sites I review. In this case, I found that there are two distinct casinos, and the games are powered by two different software providers.

In the “Diamond Casino,” the games are powered by Nucleus Gaming. I couldn’t find out much about this firm, even from its own website, but it does have a fair presence across several online casinos, and the games are high-quality. I can tell an amateur casino software company almost instantly when I load the games, and this doesn’t look like one of them.

Does Betdsi Have An App

As for the games in the “Rebate Casino,” I couldn’t even find out who powers them. They load almost instantly, giving no clue as to who the game provider is, but some of them look like someone put them together in MS Paint, so I would stay clear of this casino, even if there is daily cashback on offer.

My instincts tell me to stick to the games in the Diamond Casino. Since I’ve been reviewing casinos for the better part of a decade, I’d suggest you just trust me on this.

Slots

If you like to spin the reels in the hope of that one lucky spin which changes everything, you won’t exactly be spoiled for choice here, but you will have a few decent options. I suggest checking out the following games:

  • The Party Guy
  • 12 Animals
  • Sweet Treats
  • Fire Crackers
  • Rottin’ Trolls
  • There’s Gold Yonder
  • Matinee
  • Sashimi Dreams
  • Totem Tumble
  • Super 7s
  • Arabian Wishes
  • Critters
  • The Family
  • Fruit Serenity
  • Mermaid’s Treasure
  • The Job
  • Spin to Ride
  • Super Crystals
  • Vegas Road Trip
  • Seer’s Crystal

Keep in mind that these are the games offered in the Diamond Casino, which I feel is the better of the two. If you switch to the Rebate Casino, you’ll find another 41 slots, although they’re a lot more basic and amateurish than those available in the Diamond Casino. I’d stick with these, personally speaking.

While you can’t play these games for free, you can load them without making a deposit. This will allow you to check out the paytables and some of the feature descriptions, at least. As you’ll see, they load quickly, and the graphics are sharp. Although they’re powered by a relatively unknown company, they are top-notch in terms of design and quality.

Video Poker

Sometimes it’s better to play a game of skill in which you can slowly but surely grind out a profit, mixed with a few big pots you can scoop up when you get a great hand, rather than a game where you depend entirely on the fickle mistress that is Lady Luck. If that resonates with you, give the following video poker games a close look:

  • 10s or Better
  • All American
  • Bonus Deuces
  • Bonus Poker
  • Double Bonus Poker
  • Deuces & Jokers Poker
  • Deuces Wild
  • Double Joker Poker
  • Double Jackpot Poker
  • Five Draw Poker
  • Jacks or Better
  • Joker Poker
  • Split Way Royale

Again, these are the games available in the Diamond Casino. There are another five games on offer in the Rebate Casino, but as with the slots, they don’t give off the high-quality vibe the way the Diamond Casino games do. The only reason to check these out is if you insist on playing 2 Ways Royal or Aces & Eights, which are available in the Rebate Casino but not in the Diamond Casino.

As with the slots, you can load these games to check out the quality for yourself, but you can’t play with demo credits or anything like that.

There are 5, 10, 25, 50, and 100 hand variants available, so you can up the ante as you please.

Table Games

If you still prefer to play digital table and card games over live dealer ones, you’ll have the following options at BetDSI. That’s fortunate since there are no live dealer games here.

  • Baccarat
  • American Blackjack
  • 21 Burn Blackjack
  • European Blackjack
  • Pirate 21
  • Super 7 Blackjack
  • Pontoon
  • American Roulette
  • European Roulette
  • Pai Gow Poker
  • Red Dog Poker
  • Ride ‘M Poker
  • Caribbean Poker
  • Oasis Poker
  • Triple Edge Poker
  • Craps
  • Top Card Trumps
  • Draw High Low

The above list is the entire range of games on offer in the Diamond Casino. Again, these are powered by Nucleus Gaming, and they look just as good as any other games I’ve played.

You can bet between $1 and $500, depending on which game you’re playing. That means BetDSI table games are suitable whether you want to bet for pennies or for high stakes.

Other Games

If you want to switch it up and play some instant-win games for fun, there are several variants of keno, some digital scratch-offs, and you’ll also be able to play Sic Bo in the Rebate Casino.

My Favorite Find at BetDSI

There are a few great games at BetDSI, but my favorite was Spin to Ride. It has a gritty biker theme, and more importantly, lots of great features. A free spins round, a picking game for instant cash prizes, a reel respins feature with multipliers of up to 5x, and a progressive jackpot all make this slot well worth playing. Definitely check it out if you do sign up at BetDSI.

Sportsbook

You’ll be able to bet on lots of global sports and all of the hot sporting events at BetDSI. As with the casino, there are two sportsbooks – a sportsbook and a “retro” sportsbook. Most of the sports you see listed below can be found under the “sportsbook” tab, but auto racing can only be found under the retro book.

You can bet on:

  • Football
  • Baseball
  • Basketball
  • Soccer
  • Golf
  • Ice Hockey
  • MMA
  • Boxing
  • Tennis
  • Soccer
  • Rugby
  • Esports
  • Cricket
  • Wrestling
  • Volleyball
  • Specials
  • Horse Racing
  • Auto Racing

The sportsbook is clean and designed in a minimalist way, but I’m not sure why BetDSI has split it up into so many sections. There’s the sportsbook, the retro sportsbook, the racebook, the esports, and the live betting sections. This can be a little confusing to begin with, but you’ll get used to it fairly quickly. To be honest, most of the action happens under the “sportsbook” and “live” sections, so you can just focus on those if you get lost.

You’ll be able to place straight, teaser, round robin, parlay, and if bets here. You’ll see distinct “tabs” on the menu showing you all of the available bets in each category, which is quite handy. I also like the “search” feature which enables you to cut to the chase and find what you’re looking for without navigating around the site.

The bet slip is on the right-hand side, and it’s simple and intuitive. You’ll see the various bets types you can place, the odds of the outcome you’ve chosen (only in American style, though), and the amount you’re choosing to bet. All you have to do is click the green “place bet” button when you’re ready.

I visited BetDSI on my Android mobile device and found it to be totally mobile friendly. I also read several player testimonies of those who had visited on iOS devices like iPhones and iPads, and everyone seemed to agree this is a great site for mobile players. When I visited, I wasn’t prompted to download an app. Instead, I played straight through my mobile browser.

Esports

Esports is one of the fastest-growing areas of the online gambling world, and it looks like it isn’t going to slow down anytime soon. If you enjoy betting on esports, you’ll be well pleased with BetDSI.

You can bet on CS:GO, LoL, Dota 2, Hearthstone, King of Glory, StarCraft, Rainbow Six, and StarCraft: Brood War here.

When I checked it out, there was action on the Overwatch World Cup and the Doritos Bowl. Which events you can bet on will depend on the esports calendar.

Live Betting

BetDSI does have a dedicated “live” section where you can place in-play bets. Honestly, the betting markets are limited. Even under “soccer,” where some sites offer in-play outcomes on hundreds of possibilities, you can only bet on final outcomes, although the odds do change as the game progresses. The live betting section could definitely be better.

Betting Limits

There’s a dedicated “wager limits” page in the footer of the BetDSI website. How much you can bet depends on what sports you’re betting on and what event is taking place.

For example, if you want to place an NFL overnight side bet, the maximum wager is $1,000. However, if you want to place a wager on the same wager on a Super Bowl game, it’s $50,000.

Most other sports don’t offer bets anywhere near as big. You’ll be able to wager up to $5,000 on some NBA and MLB outcomes. For most wagers on most sports, expect to be able to bet $1,000-$2,000.

I suggest checking out the wager limits page for yourself. It’s well laid out and gives a quick bird’s-eye view of the limits on each sport.

Promotions

I always perk up and pour myself another cup of joe before reviewing the bonuses at a gambling site. Since I need to read through the small print to find out if they’re really worth taking, I require that extra dose of caffeine, especially when there are dozens of offers to consider.

Yet, at this site, I discovered that there is no small print. There are plenty of bonuses, and they sound great, but the terms and conditions section consists of a single sentence: * terms and conditions apply.

I did try to get clarification on this but didn’t have much success. Anyway, I’m starting to digress, so let’s just get into it, and I’ll explain as we go along. Let’s look at the bonuses available for both new and existing sports bettors and casino players.

Sports Welcome Bonus

As a new player at BetDSI, you’ll be able to get a 100% welcome bonus worth $1,000 maximum.

This bonus will come in two parts – 50% in the sportsbook and 50% in the casino.

The only thing is, there are no clear terms and conditions mentioned on the site. It clearly says, “terms and conditions apply,” but they aren’t written anywhere in black and white. That means I can’t give you an impartial analysis of the rollover/playthrough requirements, minimum deposits, etc.

Why 50% of your sports welcome bonus is paid in the form of a casino bonus when there’s a separate casino bonus, I don’t know. This might not be a problem if you like casino games as well, though.

Casino Welcome Bonus

It’s clear from the promotions page that you can claim a 100% welcome bonus when you deposit to the BetDSI casino.

However, there are no stated terms and conditions, and there isn’t even a clear min/max bonus amount. Perhaps they’ll match a deposit up to any amount? I doubt it. BetDSI could really do with being more transparent about what’s on offer and what strings are attached.

Casino Daily Rebate

This is something I like the sound of. It’s a 10% daily rebate bonus on net losses in the casino.

Betdsi app

As with the other bonuses, I haven’t a clue as to whether there are limits, rollover requirements, or anything else, since no further information is given. I assume this money back is only available on games in the Rebate Casino, but again, due to the lack of straightforward information, I’m not 100% sure on that.

Still, 10% back on anything sounds good and is something I would be interested in exploring further.

Bitcoin Deposit Bonus

If you prefer to use cryptocurrencies to gamble online, you’ll be able to claim a 100% deposit bonus on your first deposit and a 30% reload bonus on every deposit thereafter.

The promos page says this can be claimed on Bitcoin and altcoins, yet I could only see Bitcoin available as a deposit method when I checked out the cashier section (see more below).

Racebook Rebates

If you like to have a punt on the horses, you’ll be glad to know you can claim 8% back on exotic wagers and 3% back on all win, place, and show wagers.

This time, the terms and conditions are a little bit clearer. There are no minimum and maximum limits to this bonus, which is phenomenal if you spend your days fixated on action taking place down at the tracks.

Bonuses Summary

Betdsi App

Some of these bonuses do seem attractive, but I’d like a lot more information on them before I would take them. What are the minimum deposits? Are there any rollover requirements? Are there holding periods or maximum conversion limits? All of these things should be clearly stated in the terms and conditions, but they aren’t.

Banking

This is the area of any gambling site review you want to pay the closest attention to. If it’s a rogue operation or is out to take advantage, you’ll almost always find out in the banking terms and conditions. Thankfully, that’s not the case at BetDSI. The banking could be better, but it could be a lot worse, too.

There are no extra deposit fees, but you will pay flat $50 fees on withdrawals by bank wire and between $25-$50 on Person to Person withdrawals. This is reasonable enough.

As you can see, this is a crypto-friendly gambling site. Right now, it only accepts Bitcoin, but I’m hoping Bitcoin Cash, Dash, Monero, and some others will be added in the future.

As far as wait times go, it’s pretty much all standard. You’ll get your money within 24 hours if you withdraw by Bitcoin and within 3-5 business days by any other method.

Deposit Methods

  • Credit Cards
  • Neteller
  • Bitcoin
  • ECO
  • Person to Person
  • Bank Wire
  • Western Union

Withdrawal Methods

    Bitcoin
  • Person to Person
  • Bank Draft
  • ECO

VIP Program

The BetDSI loyalty program is straightforward and easy to understand. There are three levels – gold, platinum, and diamond. You earn points for betting on sports or playing in the casino, and it doesn’t matter how big or small your bet is – you’ll get points regardless.

Gold Level

You’ll reach the gold level instantly when you deposit $300 or more. When you do, you’ll receive a 15% free play bonus with low 3x rollover requirements.

Platinum Level

You’ll reach the platinum level if you accumulate 30,000 rewards points within a 12-month period.

You’ll get the same 15% free play bonus with 3x rollover requirements when you make a $300 deposit or more. The maximum you can get here is $750.

You’ll also get one free Bitcoin withdrawal per day, and you earn BetPoints at a rate which is 10% faster at this level.

Diamond Level

You’ll reach this level when you earn 300,000 BetPoints in a 12-month period.

Each time you deposit $300 or more, you’ll get a 15% free play bonus with 3x rollover requirements. You can get up to $3,000 at this level.

Again, you’ll get a free Bitcoin bonus every day, and you’ll accumulate points 10% faster again.

This isn’t a bad loyalty program, on the whole. It’s simple and straightforward if nothing else.

Customer Service

If you need to reach out for a helping hand or to get clarification on anything, you have the following contact options at BetDSI.

Email – Send a message to [email protected] if you want to wait up to 48 hours for a reply. This could be faster, but it’s not the worst I’ve ever seen, either.

Live Chat – This is a much faster way to get in touch. I got replies instantly. I was satisfied with most of them except one. I asked for further information on the bonus terms and conditions and was told to email the address above or refer to the (non-existent) terms and conditions. Why not just tell me there and then? Surely the live chat operators know as much as the email agents?

The customer service here is okay, but it could be better. Responses are fast through live chat, and someone will be on hand to help 24/7, but I’d like to see a telephone hotline, and I would have liked a more direct answer regarding the bonus terms and conditions.

Would I Play at BetDSI Casino?

Betdsi app

Sure I would. This is a quirky site with a few little things which could be optimized for a better user experience, but it’s legit, it offers action on all kinds of sports and casino games, and it has a long track record of serving players satisfactorily.

I’m going to say what I always say – the best way to find out if BetDSI is for you is to check it out for yourself. I have no problems recommending it, but whether or not it’s for you is something only you can decide.
