Veterans Day 2020:

Please join us in honoring our hometown heroes tomorrow at 11 a.m. in Folger Park at the corner of 3rd and D Streets SE. American Legion Post 8 Commander Jason Secrest invites everyone to its annual Veterans Day ceremony to remember all those who have served and sacrificed for our country.

The hour-long program includes gathering music by the DCFD Emerald Society Pipes & Drums, presentation of colors by U.S. Air Force Color Guard, and national anthem and armed forces medley by the U.S. Army Brass Quintet.

Veterans Bingo Parlor was founded in 1995. Veterans Bingo Parlor specializes in Bingo Hall.

• Veterans Bingo Hall on Ridge Ave. Is a social gathering place that serves free coffee and provides Bingo activities each week. All are welcome to play free games or play for prizes. And, if participants  get hungry, they can visit one of the restaurants next door for a bite to eat.
• 20 reviews of DAV Bingo 'The staff is friendly and the money supports Disabled American Veterans and other non-profit organizations - good place to start! There is a quaint snack bar and several vending machines if you get hungry or want a soda.

The much loved bingo hall has been an entertainment hotspot in the town of for as long as one can remember. Friendly new bingo enthusiasts are welcomed with a plentiful amount of amazing hospitality.

D.C. Ward 6 Councilmember Charles Allen will offer remarks and award-winning NBC News4 I-Team investigative reporter Scott MacFarlane is the quest speaker.

Due to citywide requirements and restrictions, standing room only will be available on the perimeter of the event. All are respectfully asked to follow current masking and social distancing directions.

Since our charter in 1922, Kenneth Nash Post 8 has been welcoming veterans from all branches of our Armed Forces. Today, we welcome all military members who serve and have served our country; along with their families, who also sacrifice. Our mission is to implement the goals as shown in our preamble, seen scrolling above.

VVMC is able to meet diverse needs with room rental for facilities for Meetings, Receptions, Parties, Anniversaries, Weddings, Bridal Showers, Sweet Sixteen, Ceremonies, Business Meetings, Corporate Gatherings, Corporate Functions and Trade Shows. The facility has two parking lots capable of accommodating 100 vehicles. *Prices effective Aug 1, 2018

The Facility Has 3 Rooms

A Ballroom with stage – 2800 sq ft – Rents for $675.00.

A Medium sized Dining Room – 1677 sq ft. – Rents for $575.00.

A Small Annex Room – 1288 sq ft. – Rents for $475.00.

*All rooms have an 8 hour minimum

Additional decorating hours @ $50.00 per hour

Kitchen Facilities – cook top, ovens, dishwasher – Minimum Use: $100, Warming Use: $275, Cooking Use: $500. *Any use of appliances constitutes kitchen use.

Please note: The building hours of operation are from 9am to 11pm. The above is for an (8) eight-hour rental period i.e. 9:00am – 5:00pm /10:00am – 6:00pm /2:00pm – 8:00pm/ 3:00pm to 11:00pm

Fully stocked Bar – one or two bartender service depending on the party size.

Rental price $ 150.00 first 4 hours, $20.00 each additional hour
**This covers the cost of the bartender—drinks are pay as you go
**Security Officers required with bar rental or under 18 event
One (1) security officer per 150 guests: Security @ $30.00 per hr

**ABC Regulation 23401 requires alcohol products to be purchased from authorized, licensed sources only. Alcohol MAY NOT be brought into the building or onto the VVMB premises to include the parking lot; any such alcohol product will be confiscated immediately and retained in the bar for return at the end of the event.

Requirements

Rental requirements – Renting party must provide $200.00 non-refundable room clean-up, insurance coverage for the Rental and, in some cases, security guards. Events are supported by a member from the Vallejo Veterans Memorial Building Council as on-site representative.

Clean up Fees: NON-REFUNDABLE
Event resetting fee $175.00
Garbage Fee: $25.00
Quincenera/Sweet-16 $200.00
All events for under 18 yrs of age $200.00

Event Insurance Policy $1,000,000 Mandatory Requirement

Extra Equipment: i.e. Bounce House, Jumper, Zorb Ball, etc.
Proof of protective insurance must be provided prior to event

$100.00 deposit required to hold a date. 30 day notice of Cancellation Required for refund of Deposit. Final payment is due (7) seven business days prior to the event. A $50.00 late fee will be assessed.

Personal checks will not be accepted within ten (10) business days of event.
